One of the common barriers to higher recycling is scepticism amongst some sectors of the population that what they put out for recycling is actually getting recycled.”It all goes in the same hole!” is a common retort to the quest to recycle more.

To address this, Western Riverside Waste Authority commissioned Mobius to develop a campaign that demonstrated recycling was worth it and that it really does get made into something new.

Using pictoral demonstration, we showed a range of common waste items and what those items were used to make.

Applied to outdoor and print media across South West London, the campaign achieved very high reach levels impacting positively on the levels of recycling achieved across the region.
