UN Habitat
Waste Wise Cities Tool
UN-Habitat launched Waste Wise Cities in 2018 with a call to action to tackle the global challenge of waste management through the application of four key action areas: 1) knowledge and best practice sharing;2) waste data and monitoring; 3) education and advocacy and 4) finance and bankability support.
Waste Wise Cities aims to support cities and local governments in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals related to waste and as well as in implementing the New Urban Agenda.
To support this, the Waste Wise Cities Tool was created, a comprehensive approach to acquiring critical waste data in a consistent manner, helping cities move towards improvements in how they manage solid waste.

Mobius were appointed to produce the video content for the online course accompanying the Waste Wise Cities Tool.
A total of 25 videos were created. Content was drawn from contributors around the world which required complex direction to ensure visual consistency as well as close working with the course authors to maintain alignment with the course structure.
This project posed a significant technical challenge in that it was created during the height of the Covid pandemic. This required creative thought and technical application to overcome the restrictions in terms of location filming and travel.
