Knife Crime Campaign

Back to work

Research amongst children caught up in knife crime revealed that none of them had spoken with their parents about the dangers of knives that had they done so, they may have made different choices.

Mobius were commissioned to develop a series of films to encourage parents to speak with their children about knives and knife crime.

Working with local drama groups we based the stories on transcripts from some of the children researched, articulating real-life accounts of the consequences of knife crime.

Mobius responded brilliantly to the brief. The creative was powerful, engaging and hit exactly the right tone. They were really easy to work with, they understood from the beginning what we were trying to achieve. We are incredibly proud of the films we created with Mobius and they have generated exactly the response we wanted. This is definitely in part to the excellent work by Mobius. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or work with them again in the future.

All of the young actors that featured in the films were drama students from local schools and drama groups. Working alongside adult professional actors gave them valuable insight into working in the industry and the processes that go towards professional filmmaking. Filming was done over two weekends in and around Maldon, Essex.
